Hello everyone and welcome to FARADAY! If you were looking for the best hall in Loughborough then look no further because this is it! Everyone who lives in Faraday loves it and everyone who doesn't, wishes they did!
We are situated in the heart of the student village surrounded by everything you could possibly want or need. Not only have we got good quality rooms, we have a top quality common room with a new pool table, tennis table and TV, a lively dining hall and a grass quad where we host our many BBQ's, socials and our infamous fun day. The quad is where the majority of Faraday spends their time in the summer and along with the dining hall where we eat all our meals, is the life and soul of Faraday. We are a 5 minute walk from the library, a 5 minute walk from the EHB bar and a 10 minute walk to the union so not only are we the best hall on campus but we are also the most convenient hall as well!
Faraday is the most social hall on campus and hosts at least one big social a term. We have our annual Christmas and summer balls, our legendary common room socials, our summer quad events and many more. This term we are also having a trip to Alton towers which is a good example of our sober socials as well.
Sport is where Faraday dominates! We have won the Men's, Women's and overall IMS for the past 5 years and are set to win again this year! Not only do we have many of the top class players in a range of sports we offer high class training sessions for all our teams. We always bring a huge crowd down to all our sporting events so if you are interested in playing sports, enjoy supporting sporting events and enjoy winning then this is definitely the hall for you!
RAG (raising and giving charity collection) is also a highlight of Faraday hall. We always win the most money raised in the fresher's Rag raid and always take the most fresher's to the event. You get to visit loads of exciting cities around the country to raise money for good causes. It's great fun and something which Faraday take pride in.
